Power Outages: Parish-by-Parish

Hurricane Francine led to more than 350,000 without power: Maps for Entergy, CLECO, Washington-St. Tammany Electric

NEW ORLEANS — Hurricane Francine made landfall in Louisiana on Wednesday and brought flooding rains, wind, and power outages.

Entergy crews began restoration efforts Thursday morning. Officials said damage assessments should be completed by the end of Thursday.

The storm made landfall in Terrebonne Parish around 5 p.m. as a Category 2 hurricane.

In the city of New Orleans, the gusts were between 50-60 miles per hour, which led to downed trees, debris, and power outages. City officials asked people to "shelter in place" and stay off the streets.
