NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints' two-game win streak ended in Minneapolis on Sunday. They trailed by 21 points at halftime, and starting quarterback Derek Carr left the game with a shoulder injury/concussion in the third quarter.
Jameis Winston replaced Carr in the game and led them on two touchdown drives to cut the Vikings lead to eight. The Saints' defense managed to force punts on four straight drives to keep their comeback attempt alive, but their last-second Hail Mary was unsuccessful.
Cornerback Marshon Lattimore and wide receiver Michael Thomas also left the game with injuries.
