Saints: Allen says Thomas and Lattimore's injuries are significant

"Look, the right shoulder is fine. That checked out fine today, so that's all good. Obviously, he's in the concussion protocol," Allen said about Carr.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints are heading into their Bye Week banged up after their loss to the Vikings. Head coach Dennis Allen says Michael Thomas (knee) and Marshon Lattimore (ankle) have "fairly significant injuries."

Starting quarterback Derek Carr left during the third quarter against the Vikings with a shoulder injury/concussion. He is in the concussion protocol.

"Look, the right shoulder is fine. That checked out fine today, so that's all good. Obviously, he's in the concussion protocol," Allen said.

Allen said he would not go into detail on Thomas and Lattimore's injuries but both players will rehab throughout the week.

The 5-5 Saints are currently in first place in NFC South. Following their Bye Week they take the field against the division rival the Atlanta Falcons.
