NEW ORLEANS — Another former Saint is headed to Denver. The Broncos are expected to hire Zach Strief as their offensive line coach, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.
Sean Payton hired Zach Strief in 2021 to be the Saints assistant offensive line coach. Strief spent the last two seasons in the position.
He played for Payton from 2006-17. Strief was selected by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2006 draft and backed up Jon Stinchcomb for five years before taking over the job for eight years.
After retiring, Strief was the Saints play-by-play man with WWL Radio for three years.
The Saints have already parted ways with co-defensive coordinators Ryan Nielsen and Kris Richard. Nielsen left for a defensive play-caller position with the Atlanta Falcons.
Their next defensive coordinator is expected to be former Cleveland Browns’ DC, Joe Woods, according to an ESPN report.
Woods worked with Dennis Allen in 2014 with the Oakland Raiders.
