NEW ORLEANS — No. 23 Tulane has won four straight heading into its homecoming contest against North Texas.
Tulane this week became ranked in the AP Top 25 for the second time this season and the first time since its only loss of the season to Ole Miss on Sept. 9.
This is just the second meeting all time between the Green Wave and the North Texas Mean Green.
Tulane won in 2013 when both programs were members of Conference USA.
This season, North Texas joined the Green Wave in the American Athletic Conference.
Tulane is defending conference champion and looks to improve to 3-0 in league play. If Tulane runs the table and wins the AAC, it likely will get a second-straight bid to a major New Year's Day bowl after winning the Cotton Bowl last season.
North Texas is 1-1 in conference play and needs three victories to become bowl-eligible and with only one conference loss so far is still in contention in the AAC.
Tulane is currently favored by 20.5 points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Saturday's kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
