BATON ROUGE, La. — UPDATE: The Tigers earned a 3 seed in the women's NCAA tournament. They will play the Rice Owls in the first round.
The LSU women's basketball team is just days away from finding out who they'll be playing in the NCAA tournament and when.
ESPN will broadcast the women's NCAA tournament selection show on Sunday at 7 p.m. CT.
The tourney tips off on March 20 with the First Four games, and the first-round games start on March 22.
LSU is expected to be among the top 16 seeds in the tourney. This means they would host the first and second-round games, which would take place from March 22 to March 25 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
School officials say they will host a watch party in the PMAC. Doors will open to the public at 6 p.m.
Right now, ESPN projects LSU as a No. 2 seed. ESPN's bracket watch has them playing Jackson State and Miami or Creighton in the second round if they were to advance.
They'd possibly face UConn in the Sweet Sixteen, Stanford in the Elite Eight, and Iowa in the Final Four. With South Carolina on the other side of the bracket, they could potentially meet for the third time this season in the National Championship game.

- Selection Sunday: 8 p.m. ET Sunday, March 17 on ESPN
- First Four: March 20-21
- First round: March 22-23
- Second round: March 24-25
- Sweet 16: March 29-30
- Elite Eight: March 31-April 1
- Final Four: Friday, April 5 at 7:30 and 8 p.m. C.T. on ESPN at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
- NCAA championship game: Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. C.T. on ABC
