BATON ROUGE, La. — When 3-seed LSU (28-5) took the court against 14-seed Rice (19-14) in the first round of the Women's NCAA Tournament inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge on Friday, most eyes were focused on the defending national champions looking to repeat for the first time since UConn won four straight from 2013-2016.
However, a few fashionistas may have been fixated on the wardrobe selection of Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey, who has become as synonymous for her game-day styling as winning women's championships.
Mulkey may have surprised some with a bit more subdued – yet smart – baby blue business look for the tournament opener. WBRZ sports director Michael Cauble caught Coach entering the court wearing what he called a "presidential Easter fit" on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In celebration of LSU's third straight NCAA March Madness appearance under Mulkey, WWL Louisiana compiled a collection of Coach Mulkey's most iconic fashion moments from her time with the Tigers.
