DETROIT — From Tulane to the Titans.
Wide Receiver Jha'Quan Jackson was selected Saturday as the 182 NFL draft pick by Tennessee, during the official league draft ceremony in Detroit.
During Tulane's legendary 2022 season, Jackson was selected as a 2022 Phil Steele Preseason All-American as a punt returner. In January 2023, Jackson's 87-yeard touchdown reception against USC in the Cotton Bowl was tied for the third-longest in school history, according to the Green Wave.
Originally from Luling, Jackson brings a lot of hometown heart to the NFL and even made the trip back to his St. Charles Parish elementary school before the draft, where he handed out backpacks to students and reminisced about his time in music class.
"Just seeing how things changed in Luling, it's just amazing," Jackson told WWL Louisiana in March. "I used to be playing the flute with Mr. Pittman."
Jackson also attended Hahnville High School in Boutte before heading to Tulane for college in 2019.
Tulane University reported Jackson's height as 5'11 and weight as 185.
