Rideshare drop-off sites for Frenchmen Street

The city has partnered with Uber and Lyft to create drop-off and pick-up zones to combat traffic issues on Frenchmen Street.

NEW ORLEANS — It's a major destination for both tourists and locals who love music, but Frenchmen Street is also the site of some late-night traffic jams.

Rideshare pickups are a big part of the issue, so the city has partnered with Uber and Lyft to create drop-off and pick-up zones.

They're a block over on Elysian Fields, with one zone near Washington Square Park and the other near the Premium Parking lot.

The change also means you won't be able to park in those areas while they're active, which is every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m.
