NEW ORLEANS — The Florida Avenue Bridge is closed to all vehicular traffic until further notice, according to the Port of New Orleans.
The bridge closure is due to a traffic gate malfunction and "subsequent damage", the release said.
The bridge remains open to marine and rail traffic.
Port NOLA said drivers can take alternate routes using the Judge Seeber (Claiborne Avenue) Bridge (LA 39) and St. Claude Avenue Bridge (LA 46).
