Spring is here, and a number of events are happening for everyone in the family to enjoy. From Easter egg hunts to festivals, these events are set for family fun outdoors.
City Park's Annual Egg Scramble
SATURDAY, MARCH 23 - SUNDAY, MARCH 24 | 9:30 a.m. until noon
City Park is hosting its annual Easter egg hunt in the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park. Families can enjoy music, a visit from the Easter bunny, and unlimited Amusement Park rides.
Bags and eggs will be provided, just bring the little ones.
The egg hunt starts at 10 a.m.

Spring Family Fest at the Children's Museum in St. Tammany
SATURDAY, MARCH 23 | 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Families can look forward to a family festival featuring 2,000 eggs that will be dropped from the Mandeville Fire ladder. There will be art activities, food trucks, bunny pictures and even a butterfly tent.
Organizers encourage families to bring their own baskets, picnic blankets and lawn chairs to the museum.
The egg drop starts at noon.
Tickets are $18 per person for anyone over the age of 12 months. Museum members will get a discount when they register online.

NORDC 500 Easter Basket Bunny's Giveaway and Egg Hunt
SATURDAY, MARCH 23 | 11:00 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The New Orleans Recreation Development Commission is inviting all families for a day of fun. They will be giving away 500 free Easter bunny baskets.
There will also be a chance to take a photo with the Easter Bunny, face painting, free food, games, live entertainment and more.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Supplies will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bellevue Park Easter Egg Hunt in Gretna

French Quarter Easter Parade 2024
SUNDAY, MARCH 31 | 1 p.m.
The 39th annual French Quarter Easter Parade will start at the corner of St. Louis and Royal in front of Omni Royal Orleans Hotel. Families can expect colorful floats, marching bands, beads, and Easter trinkets.
Before the parade begins, there will be a hat contest, silent auction, and entertainment at the Omni Royal Orleans Hotel Ballroom at 11:00 a.m.

NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Festival
SATURDAY, MARCH 23 | 10:00 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Rain or shine, the New Orleans Museum of Art is having an event for the family to enjoy. There will be art activities, crafts, games, face painting, food, drinks and music.
It is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden, one of the most popular public spaces in New Orleans for families and visitors.
Admission is free for children ages 2 and under. Refreshments are included in ticket prices, excluding alcoholic beverages.
Tickets start at $20 for non-members and $15 for NOMA members.

Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Park
SATURDAY, MARCH 23 | 10:00 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The City of Kenner is putting together an Easter Egg Hunt. Children are invited to hunt for eggs in Veterans Park.
There will be free food, fun games, a smokehouse, and candy-filled eggs.
The event is free and open to the public.
Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office Easter Extravaganza
SATURDAY, MARCH 23 | 10:00 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office and the University of New Orleans will have an Easter egg hunt on the university's campus.
There will be food, live music, and more. The sheriff's office expects 1,000 children and parents to attend.
The event is free and open to the public.
