Man found fatally shot outside Lacombe-area residence, sheriff says

LACOMBE, La. — The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the Lacombe area shortly before 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the STPSO, deputies were called to a residence in the 26000 block of E. Jackson Street in Lacombe and found the victim outside near the front porch of the home suffering from a gunshot wound.

Deputies said they tried to save the man's life, but he unfortunately died on the scene.

The body was turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office.
