NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans police department says a suspect has been arrested for the Canal Street triple shooting.
According to NOPD, 24-year-old Donnell Beard was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Dekalb County, Georgia, on Tuesday.
Beard allegedly shot at a group of people after a fight broke out in the 800 block of Canal Street on May 23, 2024. Three adult males were injured. The men were hit in the stomach, backside and hand.
Beard will be extradited back to New Orleans in the next few weeks.
