NEW ORLEANS — ESSENCE announced their night-by-night concert lineups for this year's festival.
Birdman & Friends, Usher, and Janet Jackson will headline the three-night Evening Concert Series at Caesar's Superdome. It's the ESSENCE Festival's 30th birthday. The festival will take place July 4-7.
Here are the night-by-night concert lineups for this year's festival:
On Friday, July 5th, Birdman's 30th Anniversary of Cash Money will close out the show. Other performers include Raphael Saadiq, The Roots featuring Mickey Guyton, Ari Lennox, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, and Jacquees. Hosted by Pretty Vee, Punkie Johnson and DJ Raj Smoove
On Saturday, July 6th, Usher will headline. Other performers include Charlie Wilson, D-Nice featuring Shelia E., Big Boi, Donnell Jones, Tweet, Lloyd, and Machel Montano, TGT [Tank, Ginuwine, Tyrese and Ayra Starr. Hosted by Kenny Burns and Clark Kent
Janet Jackson will headline the final night of the concert series on Sunday, July 7th. Other performers include Victoria Monet, SWV, Tank & The Bangas, Teedra Moses, Hasizzle, Dawn Richard, and a Frankie Beverly Special Tribute produced by Bryan Michael Cox. Hosted by Keke Palmer, Big Tigger and DJ Beverly Bond
