WWL Louisiana staff earns over 30 nominations for Press Club of New Orleans Awards

WWL Louisiana staff has earned multiple nominations for the 66th annual Press Club of New Orleans Excellence in Journalism Awards.

NEW ORLEANS — WWL Louisiana staff has earned multiple nominations for the 66th annual Press Club of New Orleans Excellence in Journalism Awards. 

Doug Mouton and Ricardo Lecompte both got nods for Best Sportscast, while Chris Franklin and Alexandra Cranford are both up for Best Weathercast.

Charisse Gibson and our News Director Nicole Waivers are also nominated for Best Documentary for their work on "Follow the Line."

Also, WWL Louisiana newscasts produced by Ian Kramer, Torre Josey, and Lamar Bourgeois with director Ben Arendt were nominated. 

In all, the station was nominated for 38 awards!
