Chilly and sunny through Saturday, warmer starting Sunday

Cold mornings and cool afternoons will last through early this weekend

NEW ORLEANS — Brisk and beautiful weather is here to stay through early this weekend! Cold mornings and cool afternoons will be the trend through Saturday. Expect sunny skies and low humidity through Saturday. Mornings will be cold with low temperatures in the upper 30s on the Northshore and upper 40s on the Southshore on Friday and Saturday mornings. Some patchy frost is possible well north of Lake Pontchartrain on Saturday morning. Be sure to stay warm and remember to protect those pets and consider covering very sensitive plants on the Northshore the next couple mornings. The afternoons will be marvelous over the next few days with high temperatures staying refreshing in the 60s!

A warm-up will begin on Sunday with high temperatures climbing back into the 70s. It'll be warm and a little humid through early next week under partly cloudy skies. Mornings won't be nearly as chilly with low temperatures back in the 60s on the Southshore and 50s on the Northshore early next week. Thanksgiving looks like it will be warm with high temperatures in the 70s, and there's a chance for a few showers later in the day next Thursday. A cold front looks to arrive early on Black Friday which means it'll be chilly for those shoppers next Friday!
