KENNER, La. — The City of Kenner took a beating from Hurricane Francine as the storm brought damaging winds, flooding, and power outages.

As the cleanup begins, residents in Kenner in need of food, water, and other essentials can pick up a disaster relief package.

The disaster relief packages will include water, canned and dried foods, and produce.

The food distribution, presented on a first-come-first-serve basis, will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 14 at Vineyard Church at 4340 Sal Lentini Parkway near Loyola Drive in Kenner.

As cars roll into the distribution lane, volunteers will efficiently distribute thousands of pounds of food relief in the contactless donation area.
