WWL-TV Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford said that there could be up to two inches of rain before the system is finished dumping on us by Sunday.

Cranford said that the recent dry spell should allow the city to handle that amount of rain.

There is a chance of severe weather in southeast Louisiana Sunday with the city of New Orleans and areas further south having a slight chance of severe weather, while some areas on the northshore are under an enhanced risk of severe weather.
