NEW ORLEANS — Two cars crashed at the corner of Royal Street and Esplanade Avenue on Friday night, knocking out a traffic light.
NOPD said the crash knocked out at least one traffic light into a pole. Officers said a tow truck came out to move the cars and police were on the scene directing traffic.
No fatalities have been reported.
Residents and locals should stay away from the area, the situation is presumed dangerous for those due to foot and car traffic near the intersection.
Officials said they are still working to fix the traffic light.
