NEW ORLEANS — All lanes of I-10 Eastbound near the Elysian Fields exit reopened after a traffic accident involving an 18-wheeler and possibly another vehicle.
Around 3 p.m. all lanes were back open. The accident happened shortly before 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Video from the Department of Transportation showed what appeared to be a disabled 18-wheeler blocking the interstate and there could have been another vehicle involved. All traffic was exiting the interstate at that point.
NOPD officers said there were no serious injuries.
DOTD had all lanes blocked and multiple policers along with NOFD and EMS were on the scene.
I-610 was a possible alternative for drivers.
