NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans announced that Howard Avenue (from Rampart to Loyola) and Loyola Avenue (from Howard to Julia) will be closed until further notice due to repairs.
"This closure is due to safety precautions related to the deteriorating condition of an adjacent building. The closure will remain in effect until further notice is provided by the building owner regarding necessary repairs " a release said.
Traffic on Howard Avenue will be diverted to O'Keefe Avenue.
Signage and traffic control measures, including barrels and barricades, will be installed to guide drivers and pedestrians safely through the area.
