Reese-Clark matchup most-watched WNBA game in 23 years

Six networks have set records for their most-watched WNBA games ever this season, according to Front Office Sports.

NEW ORLEANS — The Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark rivalry broke another television viewing record over the weekend.

CBS says that Sunday's matchup was the most-watched WNBA game on any network in 23 years.

Clark led the Fever to a 91-83 victory over the Sky. She had one of her best games of the season with 23 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. Reese also played well, finishing with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists. The two are currently the favorites for WNBA Rookie of the Year.

The game peaked at about 3 million viewers. Compared to a Phoenix Mercury vs. New York Liberty game that aired in the same window last year, viewership was up 225%.

It was also the most streamed WNBA game ever across households, minutes and average minute audience.

According to Front Office Sports, six networks have set records for their most-watched WNBA games ever this season.

Those six games all have one common denominator, Caitlin Clark.
