Former LSU star Angel Reese celebrated her 22nd birthday at the Met Gala.
Flowers were everywhere, in line with this year's theme: “The Garden of Time.” The theme was inspired by J.G. Ballard’s 1962 short story of the same name.
Reese wore 16Arlington by Marco Capaldo. She left practice early Monday to make it to the gala, but she will be back on the court Tuesday night.
"Training camp in the morning, Met Gala at night, preseason game tomorrow. Just another day in the life for Angel Reese," the WNBA said in a social media post.
Reese was picked 7th by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA draft in April. She played in her first preseason game for the Sky on Friday night in a 92-81 loss to the Minnesota Lynx.
The Chi-Town Barbie finished the game with 13 points and nine rebounds in 24 minutes.
The 2024 WNBA regular season tips off next month on May 14.
