METAIRIE, La. — The Saints could be holding their training camp in California, according to our partners at The Times-Picayune report.
The Saints organization has been searching for a temporary location to host the Saints’ 2024 training camp because of an ongoing construction project at the training camp’s cafeteria.
After weeks of searching, Nola.com reports that the Saints are eyeing a site at the University of California-Irvine in Los Angeles.
The Saints have been training at their Metairie facility since 2017. Having a practice field and a cafeteria to accommodate a full roster is critical for the organization.
The Saints organization has not said much about the possible move. Head Coach Dennis Allen told Nola.com in August, "Nothing’s been determined, but yeah, that’s something that we might consider."
An official announcement is not expected until the deal is finalized. It is unclear if the training camp in Irvine will be open to the public.
