Dennis Allen quotes Kendrick Lamar in post-game speech

Next up the Saints will host the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday in the Caesars Superdome.

NEW ORLEANS — The Cowboys are not like the Saints.

Following the Saints' dominating win in Dallas, Dennis Allen quoted rapper Kendrick Lamar during his postgame speech.

"Man, that's a hell of a win. Guys, that's a good football team that we just beat," Allen said. "Okay, 16 regular season wins in a row. Okay, that was a good team. All right. Now, okay, here's what we said. We said we had to come in here and play our brand of football. And that's exactly what we did. We played the way the Saints have to play this game, all right. And look, hey, sometimes you just gotta pop out and show 'em."

The Saints' offense continued to shine in Week 2 under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. They scored on every possession in the first half against the Cowboys to take a 35-16 lead at halftime. The defense also did their part, holding the Cowboys to field goals once they crossed midfield.

Derek Carr threw multiple touchdowns for the second straight week, including a bomb to Rashid Shaheed, and Alvin Kamara made his way into the endzone four times.

Next up, the Saints will host the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday in the Caesars Superdome.
