See Saints' 2024 opponents. Schedule to be released May 15

The New Orleans Saints will release 2024 schedule on Wednesday.

METAIRIE, La. — The New Orleans Saints announced their 2024 NFL schedule will be released this week.

The Saints' opponents were set in January.

This season, the team's schedule will feature nine home games and eight road games. Six of those combined games are home-and-away games with NFC South rivals, Atlanta, Carolina and Tampa Bay.

The Saints will also welcome the Dallas Cowboys back on their schedule after not playing each other the past two seasons. The Cowboys lead the series 18-13, but the Saints have won 10 of the last 14 despite losing the last meeting 27-17 in the Caesars Superdome in 2021.

New Orleans will also travel to New York to play the Giants, and host NFC East opponents Philadelphia and Washington.

The AFC West is also prominently featured on the schedule, with the former Saints head coach Sean Payton returning to New Orleans with his Denver Broncos. While third-year Saints head coach Dennis Allen's former team, the Raiders, now in Las Vegas, will also visit the Big Easy. The Los Angeles Chargers and defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs round the AFC West opponents – both away games.

This will be Payton's first time coaching in the Superdome since he left the Saints following the team's 30-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the NFC Divisional Playoff Round in January 2021.

The last time the Saints played the Raiders, New Orleans won 24-0 when current starting quarterback Derek Carr was under center with the silver and black.
