Saints: Jamaal Williams expected to play against Jaguars

Williams is set to return after missing the last four games.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams will return Thursday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Williams is set to return after missing the last four games. He injured his hamstring in the second game against the Panthers. This season, he's rushed for 74 yards on 27 attempts and caught 2 passes for 11 yards. 

Thursday night will be the first game Williams and Alvin Kamara play together as Saints. 

Despite missing time, Williams has the second most rushing attempts on the team. 

The Saints are ninth in the NFL in rushing attempts (168) but 21st in rushing yards (575) and 28th in yards per rush attempt (3.4).

Injury Report 

The Saints will be without at least five players Thursday night as they host the Jaguars in the Caesars Superdome.

Juwan Johnson (hamstring), Ryan Ramczyk (concussion), James Hurst (ankle), Landon Young (hip), and J.T Gray (hamstring) will also miss the Jaguars game. 

Demario Davis (knee) is listed as questionable. Tyrann Mathieu (foot), and Lonnie Johnson Jr. (hamstring) are listed as questionable.

Thursday's kickoff for Jacksonville (4-2) at New Orleans (3-3) is set for 7:15 p.m.
