NEW ORLEANS — The 'No Fun League' (NFL) strikes again as New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr was hit with a $14,000 fine for a celebratory touchdown dance during the team's crushing 44-19 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2.
The touchdown came off a QB-sneak inside a minute to play in the first half to give the Saints a 35-13 lead.
Carr's crotch-grabbing homage to Michael Jackson's famous dance move caught the NFL's attention in a "Bad" way and landed him the hefty fine.
The fine shouldn't dampen the mood of Carr and the Saints, as he possesses the top quarterback rating in the league after two games at 142.4. Next closest is NFC South rival Tampa Bay signal-caller Baker Mayfield with a 129.1.
Carr is currently 30 of 39 passing for 443 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception. He also has 14 yards off three rushes for that celebratory score on Sunday.
The Saints (2-0) host the Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) at the Caesars Superdome on Sunday.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
