NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints announced they have placed wide receiver Michael Thomas on Injured Reserve.
Thomas had appeared in 10 games this season, catching 39 passes for 448 yards and 1 touchdown.
The former NFL Offensive Player of the Year will miss the next four games. He will be eligible to play in the Saints Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Rams.
On Monday, head coach Dennis Allen said Thomas' knee injury would take some time.
With Thomas out, the Saints signed wide receiver Marquez Callaway to their practice squad. Callaway spent his first three NFL seasons in New Orleans. He has not appeared in a game this season.
