Saints fans get first in-person glimpse of the Black and Gold

The Saints take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday during their final preseason game in the Superdome.
After four weeks in California, the Saints made their way back home to New Orleans to hold practice at Tulane on Tuesday.

NEW ORLEANS — On Tuesday evening, Saints fans got their first in-person glimpse of the Black and Gold.

The team has been on the road for the last two preseason games, and training camp was moved from Airline Drive in Metairie to Irvine, California.

So, it's no surprise that dozens of Who Dats, young and old, lined up outside Tulane's Yulman Stadium.

“I actually think it’s a great opportunity. I love it. I was a little bummed at first when they said they were just going to be in California, but then when they put out the dates for here, I was back excited," one fan said.

Optimism is high that Dennis Allen and the Saints coaching staff can lead the team to a winning season.

“It’s going to be a new team. I think we’re going to be stronger," the Saints Vader said.

Fans said they believe the starting offense is 'looking better' and love what they're seeing from the defense.

While we all hope for a memorable season, some fans flocked Uptown to make memories.

It's technically just a practice, but those gunning for an autograph left as winners.

“Honestly if I were to describe it, it’s probably one of the best things that’s happened," a young fan who got Alvin Kamara's autograph said.

Under the lights of Yulman Stadium, the energy was palpable. No matter what the season brings, we'll always back the Black and Gold.

The Saints take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday during their final preseason game in the Dome.
