NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr left Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions early in the fourth quarter. He was taken into the blue tent before heading to the locker room.
Carr threw for 226 yards and one touchdown before being injured. Carr (concussion protocol, shoulder, back) did not return Sunday.
Jameis Winston replaced Carr. Winston led the Saints to a touchdown in his first drive to cut the Lions' lead to 5. The Saints went on to lose their third straight game, 33-28.
