Saints: Carr still in concussion protocol, Thomas and Lattimore's injuries going to take some time

The 5-5 Saints are currently in first place in NFC South.

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints could be without three starters against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Head coach Dennis Allen says starting quarterback Derek Carr is still in the concussion protocol.

"He's (Carr)still got to be able to go through practice and all that. And I can't really comment on it. He's in the protocol," Allen said.

Allen also said wide receiver Michael Thomas (knee) and cornerback Marshon Lattimore's (ankle) injuries will take some time.  Allen was asked if he thinks either will end up on the IR. He said, "I don't know. We'll see."

The 5-5 Saints are currently in first place in NFC South. Kickoff against the Falcons is set for noon.
