NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints are adding another quarterback to their roster after losing Jameis Winston earlier this week.
They are reportedly signing Nathan Peterman to a one-year deal.
Peterman spent last season with the Chicago Bears. The 29-year-old was a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
He was Derek Carr's backup for two seasons in Oakland and worked with Saints quarterback coach Andrew Janocko previously.
Peterman is expected to compete with Jake Haener for the backup position.
