Saints injury report prior to Atlanta Falcons game

The Saints dual-purpose threat injured his ankle against Tampa and is looking more doubtful for this weekend.

METAIRIE, La. — Saints running back Alvin Kamara was not practicing for a second consecutive day as he rests and tries to rehabilitate an ankle injury suffered in Sunday's win over Tampa.

The Saints are notoriously tight-lipped about injury status and the extent of Kamara's injury isn't known to the public other than he did not participate in practice, according to the injury report put out by the team Thursday

Any hopes the team had that cornerback Marshon Lattimore or receiver Michael Thomas could return have been scuttled, though shortly after they were injured, they were not expected to be "season ending."

In addition to Kamara, receiver A.T. Perry did not practice due to an illness. Tackle Landon Young missed his second consecutive practice with knee issues.

Limited in practice were Center Erik McCoy with a foot injury, receiver Chris Olave with an ankle issue, defensive end Payton Turner with a toe injury (he is still on reserved/injured), and tight end Juwan Johnson with a chest injury.

Also not practicing at all were: Safety Lonnie Johnson and linebacker Nephi Sewell.
