Saints Alvin Kamara lists his home for $2.75M amid unsettled contract

On Monday, Kamara said he doesn't want to discuss his contract until after the season.

NEW ORLEANS — Saints Alvin Kamara recently put up his Belle Chasse home for sale, listing it for $2.75 million. This decision comes as the running back tries to negotiate a new contract with the team, according to Nola.com.

Kamara confirmed that he's selling the 5-bedroom, 5½-bathroom house, built in 2022.

“I wouldn’t say I had ... an exact plan, but I had plans,” Kamara told our partners. “I’m pretty intentional when it comes to those moves that I make with real estate. I got other properties around the city, too," he said.

On the last day of mandatory minicamp, Kamara walked out because he was upset about his contract situation. He wants a new deal as the Saints are not likely going to pay his $22.4 (with a $29 million cap hit) million base salary next year.

According to Nola.com, New Orleans could save nearly $19 million in 2025 by releasing Kamara before June 1.

Aside from his contract, Kamara attended all of training camp. He missed more than a week of camp due to back tightness but returned on Aug. 20 when the Saints returned from California.

On Monday, Kamara said he doesn't want to discuss his contract until after the season.

The Saints open their season on Sunday, Sept. 8 against the Carolina Panthers.
