METAIRIE, La. — New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen said the team's leading receiver Chris Olave would be a game-time decision for the Giants game on Sunday.

"He is going to be questionable, and it's probably going to go right up to game time," Allen told media following practice on Friday.

Olave has not practiced all week due to a low-ankle sprain he sustained at the end of a 7-yard touchdown reception in fourth quarter of the Saints' 28-6 win over the Panthers on Sunday.

"He's been doing a good job on his rehab," Allen explained. "I haven't gotten a report on exactly how he did today yet, but he will be a guy if he can go, he wants to go."

The 11th overall pick in the NFL Draft was on the field for 34-of-52 offensive snaps against Carolina and caught four passes for 28 yards, including the seven-yard score. That came after missing practice all last week due to illness.

After 13 games played this season, Olave has already matched last year's total in receptions and touchdowns two games ahead of schedule. In his rookie season, Olave hauled in 72 catches for 1,042 yards and 4 touchdowns. So far, Olave has 918 yards receiving and is on track to surpass all three totals with four games remaining.

Rookies Isaiah Foskey (DE) and Kendre Miller (RB) also missed practice. Neither played against Carolina due to quadricep and ankle injuries, respectively.

Defensive end Payton Turner engaged in limited participation at practice on Friday. Turner has been on injured reserve since the season opener against the Tennessee Titans with a toe injury.

Allen spoke on Turner's return.

“He won’t play this week, but it’s time to get him going through some football activities, so we opened up the window,” Saints coach Dennis Allen said.

"We’ll just kind of see how the process goes," he added. "I do think he’s closer being ready to go, but when that is, I can’t tell you that.”
