NEW ORLEANS — Now that the New Orleans Saints have taken care of Tampa Bay to move into a virtual tie with the Bucs for the lead in the NFC South, it's playoff scenarios are pretty straightforward, however, they need help no matter how anyone slices it.
To win the NFC South
- Saints must beat Falcons (Game is Sunday at Noon on WWL-TV)
- Panthers must beat or tie Bucs. Game is in Carolina, but Panthers are 2-14. However, on December 3, Carolina gave Tampa a game in Tampa, losing 21-18.
To get Wild Card playoff spot
- Saints must beat Falcons
- Arizona must beat Seattle. (Arizona is only 4-12 on the year, but beat the Eagles 35-31 Sunday. In an earlier meeting this year, Seattle beat the Cards 20-10 in Seattle.)
- The Packers must lose to Chicago next week. (Green Bay will face Chicago at Lambeau. The Bears are 7-9. Green Bay beat the Bears 38-20 in week 1.)
