NEW ORLEANS — Saints star Alvin Kamara went into Sunday's game needing just 12 yards to break the team's franchise rushing record.
It took Kamara just two rushes in the first quarter to pass Mark Ingram on the Saint's all-time rushing list.
He gained 11 yards on his first run of the game and broke the record one play later on a 7-yard gain.
Coming into Sunday's game, Kamara had over 1,000 total yards and seven touchdowns through nine games.
The Saints drafted him in 2017, and he has spent his entire 8-year career in Black and gold.
Two weeks ago Kamara agreed to on a two-year contract extension to stay in New Orleans.
