LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers scores a touchdown against Grambling State in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.

Despite LSU quarterback and Heisman finalist Jayden Daniels taking home the Davey O'Brien and Walter Camp trophies at the annual College Football Awards on ESPN Friday night, teammate Malik Nabers was not happy after he lost out on the Biletnikoff Award.

Nabers took to social media to share his displeasure, posting on X: "REMEMBER THAT!! So disrespectful [OK emoji]."

Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison, Jr. won the award by one vote over his closest competitor. According to Biletnikoff Award Chairman Walter Manley, the names of runners-up for the award are not released publicly, so it's unclear how close Nabers was to winning.

According to the Biletnikoff Award, Harrison's 1-vote win ties for the closest in the award's history.

The 20-year-old from Youngsville, La., was the nation's most prolific receiver with an FBS-topping 1,546 yards compared to the award winner and Heisman finalist Marvin Harrison Jr.'s 1,211.

LSU's all-time receptions leader (186) joined Harrison in a four-way tie for second with 14 receiving touchdowns, trailing only fellow Tigers receiver Brian Thomas Jr. with 15.

With 2,980 career receiving yards, Nabers is just 22 yards shy of breaking LSU's all-time record, currently held by former Tigers great Josh Reed (1999-2001) with 3,001 yards.

Nabers will get that chance when No. 13 LSU (9-3) plays Wisconsin (7-5) in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, Fla., on Jan. 1, 2024.
