HOOVER, Ala. — LSU baseball defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks 11-10 on Thursday. The win advanced the Tigers to the SEC Tourney semi-final.
"LSU shortstop Michael Braswell III pulls an RBI single down the left field line in the top of the ninth inning to lead the Tigers to an 11-10 victory over South Carolina Thursday night inside the Hoover Met Complex," according to the university's website.
The Tigers improved 39-20 on the season and 16-17 in the SEC. The Gamecocks dropped to 35-22 and 15-18 in the SEC with the loss.
The win comes after the team beat the No. 3 seed Kentucky, 11-0 on Wednesday.
The Tigers will return on Saturday, May 25 at noon. They will play against the winner of the South Carolina versus Kentucky in their fourth game of the tournament.
