NEW ORLEANS — LSU head women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey has been in the news a lot the past two years. She has received attention as much for her on-court success that includes 4 national titles as a head coach as she has been for her away from the court controversies.
This postseason a lot of the controversy centered on two newspaper columns, one that was widely-anticipated by the Washington Post and which focused on her childhood, college years and coaching for more than two decades and the other which cast her team as villains and dirty debutantes.
Mulkey railed against both and found a lot of support, especially after the Los Angeles Times article.
Following Monday night's loss to Iowa, a subdued Mulkey talked about a lot of topics - her team, Caitlin Clark and even a social media issue about the team not being on the court for the national anthem.
Below are some of her responses.
