Zion Williamson to miss next three games, plus All-Star game, report says

Williamson missed his 19th straight game on Tuesday where the Pelicans defeated the Atlanta Hawks 116-107 for their third straight victory.

NEW ORLEANS — Zion Williamson will miss the next three games for the New Orleans Pelicans and will not play in the NBA All-Start Game, according to an ESPN report.

Williamson missed his 19th straight game on Tuesday where the Pelicans defeated the Atlanta Hawks 116-107 for their third straight victory. Pelicans coach Willie Green said that Williamson continued to be "day to day."

On Wednesday, ESPN NBA reporter Andrew Lopez reported that Williamson is expected to miss at least three more games and the All-Star game, and will be re-evaluated for his hamstring injury once again after the break.

"It could be difficult at times. But that's the nature of the NBA. We're not the only team that has dealt with this shuffling lineups and making adjustments," Green said.

Last month, the Pelicans said that Williamson appeared to be "healing as expected" from the Jan. 2 injury and was "making good progress with his recovery."
