Williamson, Murray game-time decisions for Pels season opener

Star forward Zion Williamson missed practice Tuesday due to illness, and head coach Willie Green says he will be a game-time decision against the Bulls.

NEW ORLEANS — The Pelicans' toughest opponents over the last few years have not been the Lakers, Thunder, or any team.

It's been availability, and the Pels will have a couple of question marks going into opening night.

Star forward Zion Williamson missed practice Tuesday with an illness, and head coach Willie Green says he will be a gametime decision against the Bulls.

The same can be said for guard Dejounte Murray, who was recently excused from practice due to a family emergency. He's expected to return to New Orleans today for a workout and that will determine his status.

Forward Brandon Ingram will play on Wednesday, and after a rocky offseason, the Pels may need to lean on him again.
