NEW ORLEANS — Fan favorite Jose Alvarado has joined the list of injured New Orleans Pelicans.
According to ESPN senior NBA insider Shams Charania, Alvarado is expected to miss six weeks with a hamstring injury.
Alvarado has filled in as a starter this season and played in all 11 games. He's averaging a career-high across the board including 10.7 points and 4.5 assists per game
The 3-8 Pelicans are already without Dejounte Murray (hand), CJ McCollum (adductor), Jordan Hawkins (lower back), Herb Jones (right shoulder), and Zion Williamson(left hamstring).
Wednesday night, the Pels will look to end their 5-game losing streak in Oklahoma City against the Thunder.
Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m., and the game will air on ESPN.
