Pelicans preseason game in Orlando canceled due to Milton

Hurricane Milton is scheduled to make landfall on the Florida Gulf Coast.

NEW ORLEANS — The National Basketball Association announced on Wednesday that the New Orleans Pelicans preseason game at Orlando against the Magic originally scheduled for Friday has been canceled due to Hurricane Milton.

The Pelicans opened preseason play with a 106-104 win over the Magic on Monday.

Pels have two more preseason games scheduled before opening the season at home against the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 23.

The next preseason matchup following the canceled game in Orlando is scheduled for Miami against the Heat on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CST.
