NEW ORLEANS — Prior to the New Orleans Pelicans regular-season return against the visiting Houston Rockets (24-30) on Thursday, the team announced the signing of two players.
New Orleans signed forward Malcolm Hill to a two-way contract and guard Jalen Crutcher to a 10-day contract.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Malcolm Hill was signed to a 10-day deal by the Pelicans on Jan. 27, and has appeared has started all 33 games he's played with the team's NBA G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, where he averaged 22.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 34.9 minutes per game.
Hill had previously seen action in 24 games in two seasons spent with the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls.
Meanwhile, Crutcher, 6-2, 175, has started all 36 of his games with the Squadron, averaging 17.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in 36.5 minutes per outing.
The Pelicans did not release the terms of either player's contract.
New Orleans’s roster now stands at 18 players, including three two-way players.
Thursday night's game against the Rockets kicks off the final 27-game regular-season stretch with three consecutive at the Smoothie King Center, followed by the Miami Heat (30-25) Friday and the Chicago Bulls (26-29) to close the weekend on Sunday.
Tipoff for Rockets at Pelicans is 7 p.m.
