METAIRIE, La. — On Thursday, the New Orleans Pelicans assigned their 41st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft to the team's NBA G League affiliate in Birmingham.
Forward E.J. Liddell will join the Squadron for the team's season-opener against the Austin Spurs Friday night.
The 6-foot-6, 242-pounder out of Ohio State missed the entire 2022-23 season due to a torn ACL in his right knee.
Liddell has appeared in three games for the Pelicans this season and is averaging 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in 2.9 minutes per game.
