NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Pelicans have lost four straight games, and the team could get one of their stars back this week. Head coach Willie Green said that Brandon Ingram played 5-on-5 in practice on Monday they hope that he can return sometime this week.
"If I feel up for it, that’s the plan," Ingram said after practice about playing in a game.
Ingram has played in just 15 games this season.
He injured his left great toe on November 25 against the Grizzlies. Ingram is averaging 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4 .7 assists per game this season.
It's still unknown when Zion Williamson will return. The team has said Williamson will be re-evaluated on January 24. He's missed ten games since straining his hamstring on January 2 against the 76ers.
The Pelicans are currently 26-21 and fourth in the Western Conference. In their last ten games, they are 3-7. They have twelve games until the all-star break. The first of those is Tuesday they'll host the Denver Nuggets, the No.1 team in the west.
