NEW ORLEANS — Saints take on Washington without Derek Carr and Tanoh Kpassagnon’s season debut will have to wait.
Although the New Orleans Saints activated the defensive lineman from the physically unable to perform list on Saturday, he was listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.
Kpassagnon, who tore his Achilles in April, returned to practice three weeks ago when the Saints opened his 21-day practice window. Facing a deadline to activate him or shut him down for the season, the Saints added Kpassagnon to the active roster and placed linebacker D'Marco Jackson on injured reserve.
The Saints have not indicated when Kpassagnon might make his official return to the field.
Here are the Saints' inactives
Quarterback Derek Carr (hand/concussion)
Running back Jordan Mims
Wide receiver Mason Tipton
Defensive tackle Khristian Boyd
Defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon
