SOUTH CAROLINA, USA — Saints wide receiver Chris Olave was carted off the field following a questionable throw by Derek Carr in Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.
Olave took a brutal hit on a crossing pattern to catch a throw by Carr that was too high for him and two Panthers crunched Olave in a big hit.
The game was delayed, players took a knee, and a cart was ordered for Olave almost immediately after the hit.
Carr changed the play at the line of scrimmage for a throw to Olave who was covered from all sides by the Panthers' defense.
Olave had already suffered a concussion earlier this season but was cleared to play again.
The Saints are now continuing without two of their top receivers.
